SiGMA Americas Awards: Focus Gaming News clinches sixth consecutive “Best igaming Media” Award

Focus Gaming News has once again been recognised at the SiGMA Awards as the most authoritative source of information in the gaming industry.

Brazil.- Yesterday (April 7), the fourth edition of the SiGMA Americas Awards, the ceremony that recognises people and companies playing a leading role in the Latin American gaming industry, took place at the Tokio Marine Hall in Vila Cruzeiro, São Paulo.

On this occasion, Focus Gaming News once again received the “Best igaming Media of the Year” award. The media outlet had already secured the same honour at the previous two editions of the event, as well as at the SiGMA Europe Awards in 2022, 2023 and 2024. This marks the sixth time the publication has earned the accolade, which recognises Focus Gaming News as the most authoritative source of information in the gaming industry for its unwavering commitment to quality and reliability.

Focus Gaming News has established itself as one of the industry’s leading publications, known for its in-depth reporting, regional perspective, and up-to-date coverage of regulation, legislation, and market trends. It reaches a global audience of over 15,000 subscribers.

This year’s ceremony celebrated excellence across 26 categories. Winners were selected through a combination of public votes and expert input from a panel of judges representing various corners of the industry. These included Itai Hadas (CEO, VELI Group), Mario Fiorini (Director & Co-Founder, IGA Group), Roger Strickland (Director, CSB), Emilio Takas (Head of SEO, Kingbet Media), Alessio Crisantemi (Managing Director, GiocoNews), Vincenzo Armato (CEO & Founder, Adv Revolution), Olga Resiga (CBDO, SOFTSWISS), Eugene Ravdin (Head of PR, SEOBROTHERS), and Michelle Dvorak (Owner & CEO, MetroNY).

The evening opened with a lively reception, where a live band set the mood before guests were ushered to their seats. Throughout dinner, traditional Brazilian dancers, drummers, and acrobats added a vibrant splash of colour and culture to the night’s festivities. Hosted by Maxine Formosa and Mark Borg, the SiGMA Americas Awards was supported by BetConstruct.

Among the evening’s multiple winners were Altenar, named “Best Online Sportsbook Provider”, 1xBet, awarded “Best Sportsbook Operator”, and Fast Track, recognised for “Best Customer Retention”.

Other recipients included EGT Digital (“Best Aggregator”), OddsGate (“Brazilian Market Breakthrough”), BGaming (“Best Gaming Experience”), BetConstruct (“Best Innovative Sportsbook Feature”), BETBY (“Best Esports Product”), and Digitain (“Best Interactive Sportsbook Experience”).

SiGMA Americas kicked off yesterday at the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo, Brazil, with more than 18,000 delegates and over 300 exhibitors, 2,240 affiliates, 3,240 operators and more than 600 exhibitors and sponsors.

This year’s edition comes at an ideal moment for the industry, marking three months since the enforcement of Law 14.790, which regulates the country’s betting market. According to the organisers, Brazil is not just another market—it is the gateway to the thriving gaming sector in Latin America.
