The Mississippi casino claims to be the first in the US with 100 per cent of staff having received at least one dose of a Covi-19 vaccine.

US.- The Scarlet Pearl Casino in Mississippi says it’s the first casino in the US to see all of its staff vaccinated against Covid-19. It says all applicable employees have had at least one shot.

The company encouraged employees to get vaccinated, offering incentives and providing a vaccination site inside the casino. It says it invested over $500,000 to vaccinate employees, offering $300 in cash to each associate and supervisor who completed the requirements.

CEO LuAnn Pappas said: “Scarlet Pearl Casino is an industry leader as attested to by our guests, our associates, and our community. Caring is one of Scarlet Pearl’s core pillars. The health and wellbeing of the region is essential. Everyone here is all part of our family.”

Scarlet Pearl Casino opened in 2015 and employs 1,200 people. The casino has 1,300 slot machines plus 36-hole miniature golf course.
