Rivers Casino Philadelphia launches paid dealer training programme
The initiative covers dealer school costs and provides participants with paid classroom training as the casino seeks to attract new employees.
U.S.- Rivers Casino Philadelphia has launched a dealer training programme that covers the cost of dealer school and pays participants $15 per hour during a four-week classroom course. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
To qualify, applicants cannot currently work for Rivers Casino Philadelphia or another property operated by its parent company, Rush Street Gaming. They must complete a pre-screening interview with the casino’s Human Resources department. Previous dealing experience is not required.
The casino said its employee benefits include health care, immediate 401(k) vesting, tuition reimbursement, free parking, flexible scheduling and opportunities for career development. Experienced dealers may qualify for additional bonuses.
Rivers said employees who demonstrate proficiency in two core games while working an average of at least 30 hours per week can earn up to $10,000, while proficiency in one core game can provide a bonus of up to $5,000. Dealers can also receive a $1,000 annual retention bonus, with further earning opportunities available through the casino’s internal training program.
Rivers emphasised that it is looking for candidates with enthusiasm, dedication, motivation and energy rather than requiring previous experience. The casino is currently facing a class action lawsuit over alleged data breaches.
