Responsible Online Gaming Association to promote BetBlocker gambling blocking software

ROGA will feature the firm’s free app on its website.

US.- The Responsible Online Gaming Association (ROGA) will promote BetBlocker’s free gambling blocking software in the US. It feature the app on its website and other channels and work with its eight member operators to promote BetBlocker’s services to customers.

The free software allows players to voluntarily restrict themselves from over 118,400 gambling operator websites and 1,500 gambling apps, including regulated and unregulated sites. It enables players to block access for a specified length of time across apps, and across all their devices.

ROGA said: “This pivotal collaboration marks a strong step forward in providing the necessary support to players who have decided to restrict their play.”

Jennifer Shatley, executive director of ROGA, said: “ROGA was established to raise the standard for responsible online gaming through collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to evidence-based practices. Making resources like BetBlocker more visible and accessible is one way we put that mission into action. We’re equipping individuals with practical tools that support their decisions and well-being.”

Duncan Garvie, founder of BetBlocker, added: “We’re delighted to partner with the Responsible Online Gaming Association to expand access to BetBlocker across the United States. This collaboration will help tens of thousands of people take meaningful steps to manage their relationship with gambling, regardless of where or how they play. By working with ROGA and its member operators, we’re removing barriers to support and making it easier for people to access the tools they need—freely, anonymously, and on their own terms.”

Recently, ROGA published guidelines for operator VIP programmes. The organisation said the recommended practices are intended to support members’ VIP policies to promote robust responsible online gaming.
