Responsible Gambling Council signs partnership with Ottawa Senators
The deal will see RGC’s prevention messaging featured during hockey games.
Canada.- The Responsible Gambling Council (RGC) has announced a partnership with the Ottawa Senators to increase awareness of safer gambling practices among ice hockey fans in Ottawa. The partnership runs initially through June 2027, with the possibility of extension.
The deal will see RGC’s prevention messaging featured during Ottawa Senators games through in-arena activations and digital signage at the Canadian Tire Centre and social media content. The RGC will sponsor the Great Saves in-game feature at select home games.

Sarah McCarthy, RGC chief executive officer, said: “Sports and sports betting are increasingly connected in today’s entertainment landscape. This partnership allows us to reach people when they’re getting in the game with their team, in those moments when emotions are running high, and provide them with practical information about how to keep gambling safe and enjoyable.”
Earlier this year, the National Football League (NFL) announced a partnership with the RGC to develop and implement a responsible gambling training programme for university and college student-athletes. The initiative launched with a pilot phase at eight universities and colleges in Canada in the 2025 spring semester.
