The Category 1 horse track casino licence has been renewed for another five years.

US.- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has unanimously voted to renew the Category 1 horse track casino licence for Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, operator of Parx Casino in Bucks County. Another public hearing was held in Harrisburg to permit board members to further question representatives from the operator.

According to the regulator, Parx Casino has generated $10.2bn in gross revenue from retail slot machines and table games, sports wagering and igaming since it opened in December 2006. It has generated $4.59bn in tax revenue, assessments and fees.

The casino operates 2,981 slot machines, 155 table games, 12 hybrid table games and a sportsbook. It employs more than 2,300 people.
