Parx Casino Shippensburg to introduce live table games in Pennsylvania

The venue is planning to open this month.

US.- Parx Casino Shippensburg has announced that it will introduce live table games featuring real dealers. The announcement was made following authorisation by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) at yesterday’s commission meeting. The casino plans a soft opening on January 30 followed by a Grand Opening Weekend on February 6.

Once fully operational, the new area will feature 12 live tables with 72 total seats, offering blackjack, roulette, ultimate Texas hold’em, and three card poker.

A survey found that 80 per cent of players wanted live table games at Parx Shippensburg while 70 per cent said they did not play electronic table games. According to the casino, this feedback had a significant influence on the casino’s decision to expand.

John Marshall, general manager of Parx Casino Shippensburg, said: “In our survey, our guests made their preferences clear – we hear them daily, and we listened. Live table games will bring new energy and excitement to the property and are sure to attract a broader audience.”

He added: “Not only will our guests have more ways to enjoy their experience at the casino, but our communities will benefit as well with new jobs and additional tax revenue for the Commonwealth.”

Before the announcement, Parx Casino Shippensburg was the only Pennsylvania casino operating without live table dealers. In 2025, the venue posted $592,417 in table game revenue, a decrease of 32.21 per cent in year-on-year terms.
