Ohio casinos and racinos break revenue record in March
The casinos and racinos’ gaming revenue in March hit $216m.
US.- The Ohio Casino Control Commission and the Ohio Lottery have reported that the state’s eleven licensed casinos and racinos brought in more than $216m in March. The figure sets a new record for the month, surpassing the $215.9m generated in March 2021 – the previous state record.
The figure reported for March marked a 17 per cent increase month-on-month. Licensed casinos took $93.3m, while racinos reported $122.9m. Jack Cleveland Casino reported the highest revenue at $24.5m. Hollywood Columbus Casino came second with $23.4m. Hard Rock Cincinnati Casino reported $22.9m and Hollywood Toledo Casino $22.4m.
As for Ohio racinos, the highest revenue last month was reported by MGM Northfield Park with $26.1m – the highest revenue for the last six months. Eldorado Gaming Scioto Downs located in Columbus reported $21.7m and Miami Valley Gaming $20.3m.
JACK Thistledown Racino reported $17.5m, Hollywood Mahoning Valley Race Course $14.4m and Hollywood Gaming Dayton Raceway $14.3m. The table was completed by Belterra Park Cincinnati, with $8.6m.
Revenue for the year to date has surpassed $560m. In February, gaming revenue hit $178.7m, and the revenue for January amounted to $171.2m.
