Ohio casinos and racinos take in $179m in February

The Ohio Casino Control Commission has released last month’s revenue figures, showing a growth of 12.7 per cent year-on-year.

US.- The Ohio Casino Control Commission has reported that the state’s eleven licensed casinos and racinos brought in more than $179m in February. The figure sets a new record for the month, surpassing the $171.4m reached in February 2020. Revenue for the year to date is $350m.

Revenue was up 12.7 per cent year-on-year as in February 2021 venues were under an overnight curfew due to Covid-19 countermeasures. Ohio’s four casinos pulled in $75.2m, up 11.3 per cent when compared to last year.

JACK Cleveland Casino saw revenue of $20.2m, followed by Hard Rock Cincinnati Casino with $18.7m. In third place, came Hollywood Columbus with $18.4m, followed by Hollywood Toledo, with $18m.

As for the racinos, MGM Northfield Park recorded $22.4m in revenue. In second place came Scioto Downs with $17.3m. Miami Valley Gaming took $15.6m; JACK Thistledown Racino $13.2m, Hollywood Mahoning Valley and Hollywood Dayton $11.6m and Belterra Park $6.5m.
