North Carolina sports betting handle increases in January
The handle increased 6.1 per cent year-over-year and 3.1 per cent from December.
US.- The North Carolina State Lottery Commission has released its sports wagering revenue report for January. The state’s eight licensed interactive sports wagering operators reported a handle of $686.9m, up 6.1 per cent year-over-year and 3.1 per cent from December 2025.
According to the Commission’s report, winnings totalled $603m and gross wagering revenue $80.3m. The estimated tax proceeds are $14.5m.
For the fiscal year to date (July 2025 to January 2026), total wagering revenue stands at $4.5bn and taxes $85.8m.
