New Jersey governor to address Annual East Coast Gaming Congress

Governor Philip D. Murphy will participate in the event at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

US.- New Jersey governor Philip D. Murphy will make a keynote address at the 28th Annual East Coast Gaming Congress (ECGC). The event will be held at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City on April 15 and 16.

A Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Jim Allen, chairman of Hard Rock International and CEO of Seminole Gaming. There will also be keynote addresses from Jim Allen, David S. Cordish, chairman of The Cordish Companies, Jay Dorris, president and CEO of Wind Creek Hospitality, Tim Drehkoff, CEO of Rush Street Gaming, Bill Hornbuckle, chief executive officer and president of MGM, Resorts International, Soo Kim, chairman of Bally’s Corporation and Bill Miller, president and CEO of American Gaming Association, among others.

The event will have the theme “Many Pathways, One Future” to convey how different gaming verticals are addressing an array of challenges and opportunities.

ECGC cofounder Lloyd D. Levenson, CEO at Cooper Levenson, said: “This is the strongest lineup of leaders that we have ever presented, which is clearly indicative of the critical issues facing this industry’s future.”

cofounder Michael Pollock, senior policy advisor to Spectrum Gaming Group, added: “These keynote addresses are in addition to our panel discussions, focusing on topics ranging from Downstate New York gaming to the future of lotteries to the increasingly important role of technology in gaming, among others.”

New Jersey gaming revenue increases in February

New Jersey’s casinos and horse tracks that offer sports betting reported $484.8m in gaming revenue for February, up 5 per cent from February 2024 ($461.5m). The casino win for the nine Atlantic City casino hotels was $203.5m, down 3.8 per cent compared to February 2024 ($211.6m). The online gaming win was $207.8m, up 14 per cent year-on-year. Sports wagering gross revenue reached $73.6m, a 8.9 per cent increase.
