New Jersey gaming revenue increases in July
Revenue for casinos, racetracks and their partners was $606.2m, up 10.7 per cent year-over-year.
US.- The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement has reported that gaming revenue for casinos, racetracks, and their partners was $606.2m in July. That’s a rise of 10.7 per cent year-over-year and 4.2 per cent from June.
The casino win for the nine casino hotels was $284.1m, up 4.3 per cent year-over-year. The internet gaming win was $247.3m, up 26.6 per cent. Total gross revenue tax was $81.7m. Sports betting gross revenue totalled $74.8m, down 6.6 per cent.
The year-to-date casino win was $1.66bn, an increase of 2.2 per cent from the prior year-to-date period. Year-to-date internet gaming win was $1.63bn, up 23.3 per cent, and year-to-date sports wagering gross revenue was $626.8m, down 4 per cent.
In July, New Jersey assemblyman Dan Hutchison introduced Bill A5971, which would prohibit sports wagering licensees from offering or accepting micro bets. Those who do not comply would face a disorderly person’s offence and a fine ranging from $500 to $1,000 per incident.
