New Hampshire sports betting handle up 19.6% in August
New Hampshire’s sportsbooks have reported a handle of $43.4m for August.
US.- New Hampshire saw wagers of $43.4m in August, up 1.6 per cent compared to July ($42.7m) and up 19.6 per cent compared to the same month August 2021 ($36.3m).
DraftKings reported a $32.9m handle while the remaining $10.5m was wagered at retail sportsbooks in the state. Gross gaming revenue from sports betting for the month amounted to $4.2m. Of this, $3.8m was generated from online sports betting and $386,112 from retail.
The New Hampshire Lottery reported that the state received $1.9m in tax from sports betting in August –$1.8m from online and $173,750 from retail. In the opening two months of the fiscal year, New Hampshire has seen $86m worth of sports bets placed, delivering $8.7m in betting revenues.
In November 2019, DraftKings gained exclusive rights to offer sports betting online via the New Hampshire Lottery.
