New Cyprus casinos offer hundreds of jobs
Three satellite casinos will start operations in Nicosia, Larnaca and Paphos.
Cyprus.- Under current gaming legislation in Cyprus, three new casinos will start operating in the next few months in Nicosia, Larnaca and Paphos, which will open the door for economic growth and 200 new job position for residents. The operator Melco Group released a statement yesterday afternoon in order to recruit over 200 people at their satellite casinos.
“Approximately 200 new positions will open up whilst currently, more than 600 people are employed by Melco at C2, with the vast majority of those being Cypriot citizens,” said the Macau’s casino group Melco in the statement published by the local press yesterday. “Melco’s philosophy is to ‘Hire on attitude, image and potential and to train on skills’, we are looking for talents from the market to fill up the new positions’,” added Victoria Michaelidou, VP Human Resources of Melco in Cyprus.
Furthermore, Hermes Airports and Integrated Casino Resorts Cyprus (ICR Cyprus) announced that they signed a two-year commercial contract with a renewal option to feature a satellite casino in two locations within the terminal building at Larnaca airport.
The first Cyprus Casino opened earlier this year in Zakaki, Limassol offering 33 table games and 242 slot machines, the salon Prive VIP gaming area, the Columbia Bistro restaurant and two bars.
