Missouri launches sports betting

The market has eight licensed operators.

US.- Missouri launched its regulated online sports betting market today (December 1). It’s the 39th US state to launch regulated sports wagering.

The market has eight licensed operators. DraftKings, Circa Sports, Caesars Sportsbook, BetMGM, Bet365, theScore Bet, Fanatics and FanDuel have launched after securing licences in the state. Fantasy sports operator Underdog withdrew its temporary sports betting licence last week ahead of the launch.

Missouri voters approved sports betting through Amendment 2 in November 2024, passing the measure by a margin of just 50.1 per cent. Revenue generated from sports wagering will be taxed at a rate of 10 per cent with the potential allowance of deductions for promotional offers and federal taxes.

Operators began accepting registrations in November after the Missouri Gaming Commission (MGC) granted temporary retail and mobile sports betting licences in October.
