Mississippi sports betting handle decreases year-over-year in September
The handle decreased 24.4 per cent from September 2024.
US.- The Mississippi Gaming Commission (MGC) has released its sports wagering report for September. The handle was $39.1m, down 24.4 per cent year-on-year and up 78.5 per cent from August 2025. Taxable revenue totalled $6.8m.
The Coastal region reported a $26.5m handle, representing more than half of the total handle in the state. The Central region generated $8.6m and the Northern region $4m.
The Coastal region’s taxable revenue was $4.5m. Football generated a $15m handle and $2.7m in taxable revenue, followed by play cards, which generated $4.2m in bets and $894,770 in taxable revenue, and baseball ($2.3m handle and $412,044).
The Central region generated $1.5m in taxable revenue. Parlay cards led with a $4.3m handle and $1.2m in taxable revenue, while football generated a $3.1m handle and $344,707 in taxable revenue and baseball $821,559 in bets and $50,694 in taxable revenue.
In the Northern region, taxable revenue was $822,469. Parlay cards generated a $1.3m handle and $412,319 in taxable revenue, while baseball generated $1.1m in bets and $61,072 in taxable revenue and football $1m in bets and $268,082 in revenue.
