Mississippi sports betting handle decreases year-over-year in March
The handle was down 25 per cent from the same month in 2025.
US.- The Mississippi Gaming Commission (MGC) has released its sports wagering report for March. The handle totalled $25.7m, down 25 per cent year-over-year but up from $21m in February.
The regulator breaks revenue down across Central, Coastal, and Northern regions. The Coastal region generated $16.6m in bets, representing more than 60 per cent of the total handle. The Central region generated $5.3m and the Northern region $3.8m. Taxable revenue was $3.6m.
In the Coastal region, taxable revenue was $1.9m. Basketball generated an $8.8m handle and $534,269 in taxable revenue, parlay cards $3m and $809,560, and baseball $746,174 and $190,093.
Taxable revenue in the Central region was $1m. Basketball led the market with a $2.8m handle and $196,358 in taxable revenue, followed by parlay cards with $2.3m and $794,281, and baseball with $132,770 and $1,883.
The Northern region saw $688,682 in taxable revenue. Basketball generated a $2.1m handle and $284,652 in taxable revenue, while parlay cards generated $1.2m and $476,213.
In March, casinos generated $214.2m in adjusted gross gaming revenue, down 5.4 per cent year-over-year, but up from $200.6m from February.
