Mississippi sports betting handle declines in February

The handle decreased 31.3 per cent year-over-year.

US.- The Mississippi Gaming Commission (MGC) has released its sports wagering report for February. The handle totalled $21m, down 31.3 per cent year-over-year and down from $36.7m in January 2026.

The regulator breaks revenue down across Central, Coastal, and Northern regions. The Coastal region generated $13.5m in bets, representing more than 50 per cent of the total handle in the state. The Central region generated $5m and the Northern region $2.6m. Taxable revenue was $3.5m.

Taxable revenue in the Coastal region was $2.2m. Basketball generated a $5.7m handle and $709,641 in taxable revenue, football $2.6m and $720,726 and Parlay Cards $2.2m and $486,142.

In the Central region, taxable revenue was $987,763. Basketball led the market with a $2.6m handle and $206,575 in taxable revenue, followed by parlay cards $2m and $572,505 and football with $502,851 and $171,845.

The Northern region reported $285,946 in taxable revenue. Parlay Cards generated a $1m handle and $287,034 in taxable revenue and basketball $967,489 and $100,849.
