Mississippi casinos report revenue increase in January

Adjusted gross gaming revenue increased 4.9 per cent year-over-year.

US.- The Mississippi Gaming Commission (MGC) has released its casino report for January. Casinos generated $189m in adjusted gross gaming revenue, up 4.9 per cent year-over-year.

The regulator breaks revenue down across three regions: Central, Coastal, and Northern. The Coastal region reported $131.2m in adjusted gross gaming revenue, more than 60 per cent of the total. The Central region generated $24.3m, and casinos in the Northern region $33.5m.

The sports betting handle was $36.7m, down 13.6 per cent year-over-year. The Coastal region saw $25.9m in bets, while the Central region generated $7.3m and the Northern region $3.5m. Taxable revenue totalled $4m.

In 2025, casinos in the state generated $2.43bn in revenue. That’s a decrease of 0.1 per cent from 2024.
