The igaming content supplier has named Andrew Lucas to replace John Coleman as chief executive at the end of the year.

UK.- The Isle of Man-based igaming content supplier Microgaming has named current chief operating officer Andrew Clucas as its next CEO. He will replace John Coleman who will step down at the end of the year after three and a half years in the position.

Clucas entered Microgaming in 2009 after a career in the Royal Air Force. He held roles in business development and sales before being made chief operating officer in January 2018.

He praised Coleman saying he was “an outstanding leader and ambassador of the business for almost two decades”.

He said: “I cannot praise [Coleman] highly enough for his many achievements and contributions. I am delighted to be picking up the mantle from him; being appointed CEO of Microgaming is an incredible honour, and I intend to lead the business with the very same passion and commitment.”

Coleman was CFO at Microgaming for close to 14 years before stepping up to the CEO position in June 2018 to replace Roger Raatgever. He will officially step down on December 31.

Coleman said: “I am honoured to have led Microgaming as CEO – such an incredible business and people. After 17 years at the company, this is a natural time for me personally to embark on the next adventure.

“Microgaming has a strong leadership structure in place and an exciting future ahead, and I am delighted to announce Andrew Clucas as my successor. Andy is a brilliant colleague, friend and leader, and I have every confidence that he will steer Microgaming to new success.”
