Michigan igaming revenue remains flat in April

Revenue decreased 0.3 per cent compared to March 2026.

US.- Michigan commercial and tribal operators reported $371m in combined igaming and online sports betting gross receipts in April. That’s a 0.3 per cent decrease from March 2026.

According to the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB), igaming gross receipts totalled $303.4m, and online sports betting gross receipts $67.6m. The sports handle was $460.8m, down 5 per cent from March.

Combined adjusted gross receipts (AGR) were $315.61m: $291.2m from igaming, down 5.8 per cent, and $24.5m from online sports betting, down 25.2 per cent. Year-over-year, igaming AGR was up 24.9 per cent, while online sports betting AGR decreased by 8.7 per cent.

Operators submitted $63.2m in taxes and payments to the State of Michigan. The three Detroit casinos reported $15.1m in wagering taxes and municipal services fees paid to the City of Detroit.

As of April 2026, 15 commercial and tribal operators have been authorised to offer igaming and/or online sports betting in Michigan: 13 offer online sports betting while all 15 offer igaming.

The MGCB recently announced the launch of a campaign aimed at protecting young people from underage and problem gambling. The Don’t Bet on Your Future campaign introduces new resources for youth, schools, and families.
