MGM Resorts International names Ryan Abboushi as president of entertainment

Abboushi will oversee programming and operations strategy.

US.- MGM Resorts International has appointed Ryan Abboushi as president of entertainment. He will oversee the company’s unified programming and operations strategy.

Abboushi will provide oversight of MGM Resorts’ venue use, show bookings, talent management and partner relationships. He also will be responsible for building branded entertainment and content experiences that can extend across MGM Resorts’ destinations.

Abboushi spent the last 16 years at the sports agency Creative Arts Agency (CAA), where he packaged and sold films, television shows and specials. He began his career at William Morris Agency.

In March, MGM Resorts International named Dame Donna Langley, chairman of NBCUniversal Entertainment & Studios, to the company’s board of directors. Langley becomes the 13th member of the board.

BetMGM revenue grows 34% in Q1

BetMGM, the US joint venture owned by MGM Resorts International and Entain, reported revenue reached of $657m for Q1, up 34 per cent compared to the same period last year. EBITDA rose to a positive figure of $22m from a reported loss of $132m during the first quarter of 2024. The handle grew by 29 per cent to $4.08bn.
