Mateo Lenoble speaks with Focus Gaming News about his new role as Head of Sales for Latin America at Kambi Group.

Exclusive interview.- In mid-July, Kambi Group announced the appointment of Mateo Lenoble as head of sales for Latin America, tasked with driving Kambi’s commercial growth and expanding its presence in the fast-growing region.

Lenoble brings more than a decade of experience in the Latin American sports betting and gaming industry, having previously held several senior commercial roles at Sportradar, including director of Sales and most recently vice president of account management for the region.

In this exclusive interview with Focus Gaming News, Lenoble shares his vision for driving growth, the products set to define Kambi’s offering in the region, and the priority markets he will initially focus on.

Congratulations on your appointment! With over 10 years of experience at Sportradar, including roles as director of sales and vice president of account management, how do you feel this trajectory has prepared you for your new leadership responsibilities?

Thank you, it’s an exciting time to be joining Kambi. My decade at Sportradar provided invaluable experience in the sports betting space, particularly in the development and growth of emerging markets like Latin America.

I was fortunate to play a hands-on role as the region evolved from early-stage opportunities into one of the most dynamic landscapes in the industry. That journey taught me not only the commercial and operational nuances of the market but also the importance of building long-term partnerships based on trust and performance, both of which are central to my new role at Kambi.

Kambi emphasises premium sportsbook solutions, including Turnkey Sportsbook, Odds Feed+, Esports, Front End, and Managed Trading, in its expansion strategy. Which of these products are you most excited to promote across LatAm, and why?

To start, I’m particularly excited about the Turnkey Sportsbook. It brings together the full strength of Kambi’s platform, from our award-winning Bet Builder and AI-powered trading to advanced risk management and a world-class UX, into a complete, end-to-end solution that’s built for speed, scale, and success. It’s a perfect fit for ambitious operators in Latin America looking to thrive as competition intensifies, providing the high-performance technology and regulatory certainty needed to grow faster than the market.

Alongside the full turnkey, Odds Feed+ and Kambi’s Managed Trading Services are also in high demand across the region. Many operators are looking to outsource parts of their operation while retaining control in other areas, and these products give them the flexibility to do just that.

Setting these products apart is the fact that they are not developed in silo, but with the full sportsbook view – benefiting and sharpened by all the strategic insights, deep network data and more than $17bn in global liquidity processed through Kambi’s Turnkey Sportsbook.

LatAm is often described as “full of opportunity”. How do you define Kambi’s short and mid-term commercial goals in the region? Are there priority markets that you will initially focus on?

Latin America is indeed rich in opportunity, but it’s important to remember that it’s not a one-size-fits-all region as each market has its own dynamics, regulatory outlook and consumer preferences.

In the short term, we’re focused on deepening our presence in markets where we already have strong foundations. For example, in Colombia, we’re proud to power the two market leaders in BetPlay and RushBet, while we are showing significant traction in Brazil, providing to partners including KTO, Rei do Pitaco and Stake.

Looking ahead to the medium term, markets including Mexico and Peru are key areas of focus, while Brazil will also remain a priority. As with any new competitive market, we expect to see a second wave of supplier selections as operators refine their strategies, and we’re well-positioned to capitalise on those opportunities. We plan to be highly visible in the region, participating in major industry events and ensuring operators know they have a premium, compliant and scalable partner in Kambi.

What do you see as the biggest opportunities and key challenges facing Kambi and its operator partners in Latin America over the next 1-2 years?

One of the most significant challenges is navigating the evolving regulatory landscape while maintaining a premium user experience. Over the past decade, regulation in Latin America has progressed considerably, but each market remains unique in its requirements.

Operators often face the dual pressure of staying compliant and delivering best-in-class offerings, and that’s where Kambi provides real value. Recent regulatory changes in Brazil, for example, highlight how quickly the landscape can evolve and how important it is to have a partner who can adapt at pace. Our deep regulatory expertise, combined with a product that’s both flexible and fully compliant, helps operators overcome those hurdles without compromising on quality. This combination of local adaptability and global excellence will be key to long-term success in the region.

What legacy or long-term impact do you hope to leave as head of sales for LatAm at Kambi, and what would success look like to you in this role?

I believe the Latin American market is at a pivotal stage during a time of rapid growth, with many operators ready to level up their offering. My ambition is for Kambi to continue being the trusted partner which helps ambitious sportsbooks do just that.

Whether an operator is looking for a full turnkey solution or wants to selectively outsource aspects and products such as odds and the bet builder, I want them to know they can rely on Kambi and the company’s proven track record of empowering success throughout Latin America and beyond. Success for me is about helping our partners grow sustainably and building long-term relationships where our portfolio of premium products becomes a key driver of their success.

Looking ahead, how do you envision Latin America contributing to Kambi’s global growth story, and what role do you see the region playing in shaping the future of the sportsbook industry?

Latin America is a major strategic focus for Kambi and will play a central role in our global growth over the coming years. We’ve already built strong momentum in the region, and the timing couldn’t be better to accelerate that growth.

As regulation matures and consumer demand for complex and high-quality sports betting experiences rises, Latin America is poised to become one of the most influential regions in shaping the future of the sports betting industry. With the right partners and the right technology, the region can set new benchmarks in innovation, player engagement and operational excellence.
