Massachusetts gaming revenue increases in July
Gross gaming revenue at the three casinos totalled $99.5m, down 1.8 per cent from June.
US.- The Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) has reported that Plainridge Park Casino (PPC), MGM Springfield (MGM), and Encore Boston Harbor (EBH) generated $99.5m in gross gaming revenue (GGR) in July. That’s a rise of 1.8 per cent from June.
Encore Boston Harbor reported $60.1m in GGR, with $22.6m from table games and $37.5m from slots. MGM Springfield generated $24m, with $4,6m from table games and $19.3m from slots, and Plainridge Park Casino took $15.3m from slots.
The MGC recently fined DraftKings $450,000 for allowing players to fund sports betting accounts using credit cards. According to the regulator, the operator allowed at least 1,160 wagers to be placed using credit cards between March 10, 2023, and February 13, 2024.
The regulator said that the company accepted over $83,000 in credit card funds from 218 customers. The operator self-reported the violations on three occasions in May 2023, July 2023 and February 2024.
