The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold a special meeting to define protocols for casinos following the easing of Covid-19 countermeasures.

US.- The Massachusetts Gaming Commission plans to hold a meeting next week to discuss the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions at gaming venues.

Representatives from Plainridge Park Casino, MGM Springfield, Encore Boston Harbor and racing and simulcasting stakeholders will attend the meeting.

Slots parlours and casinos are subject to protocols imposed by state governor Charlie Baker, but the gaming areas are subject to the Gaming Commission’s guidelines.

Governor Baker will repeal Covid-19 countermeasures on May 29, but the commission plans to prepare certain guidelines for the next months.

Chairwoman Cathy Judd-Stein said the meeting at 10am on Wednesday will address the guidelines for gaming and simulcasting establishments and for live horse racing at Plainridge Park.
