Maryland casinos set revenue record
During March, Maryland’s six casinos set a new revenue record after breaking the US$150 million mark for the first time.
US.- The Maryland casino industry had a record-breaking month last March after breaking the US$150 million mark in monthly revenue for the first time ever. According to the Lottery and Gaming Control Agency, the MGM National Harbor led the charge after generating US$60.4 million from both slots and table games (17.9 per cent higher year-on-year).
Live Casino & Hotel in Anne Arundel came in second with US$47 million, posting a one per cent increase over March 2017. Horseshoe Casino Baltimore generated US$24.8 million, down 7.8 per cent and came in third.
March had been a record-breaking month as well last year, as the six casinos posted revenue of US$141.1 million. This amount was the highest by that time and was recorded just three months after the MGM National Harbor opened.
“We are incredibly proud of the performance of Maryland’s casino industry,” Maryland Lottery and Gaming Director Gordon Medenica said in a statement on Thursday.
