Maryland casino revenue decreases in May
The six casinos in the state generated a combined $170m in revenue.
US.- Maryland Lottery and Gaming has reported that the six casinos in the state generated a combined $170m in revenue from slot machines and table games in May. That’s down 3.7 per cent year-on-year and a slight dip from $172.2m in April.
MGM National Harbor led the market with $70m in revenue, down 7.3 per cent year-on-year. It was followed by Live! Casino & Hotel, with $62.2m, down 2.7 per cent. Horseshoe Casino reported revenue of $15.6m, up 2.3 per cent; Ocean Downs Casino $9.4m, up 7.3; Hollywood Casino $8m, down 3.8 per cent; and Rocky Gap Casino $5m, up 1.8 per cent.
According to the report, casino gaming contributions to the state were $75.1m, down 1.3 per cent compared to the same period in 2025. Some $54.1m went to the Education Trust Fund, down 1.4 per cent.
Through the first 11 months of fiscal year 2026, from July 2025 through May 2026, casino gaming revenue was $1.8bn, down 1.6 per cent compared to the same period in the previous year.
