Maryland casino revenue increases in April

Casino gaming contributions to the state were $72.5m in April.

US.- Maryland Lottery and Gaming has reported that the six casinos in the state generated a combined $172.2m in revenue from slot machines and table games in April. That’s an increase of 5.9 per cent year-on-year and the best single-month of fiscal year 2026 so far. In March, revenue was $168.1m.

MGM National Harbor led the market with $74m in revenue, up 7.8 per cent year-on-year. It was followed by Live! Casino & Hotel with $63.3m, an increase of 7.4 per cent. Horseshoe Casino reported revenue of $15.1m, down 3 per cent; Hollywood Casino $7.5m, down 4.7 per cent; Ocean Downs Casino $8m, up 5.5 per cent and Rocky Gap Casino $4.4m, up 7.1 per cent.

According to the report, casino gaming contributions to the state were $72.5m, an increase of 2.7 per cent compared to the same month in 2025. Some $52.3m went to the Education Trust Fund, up 2.7 per cent.

Through the first 10 months of fiscal year 2026, from July 2025 through April 2026, casino gaming revenue was $1.6m, down 1.4 per cent compared to the same period in 2025. Contributions to the state were $688m, down 1.1 per cent.
