Las Vegas: four more casinos to reopen
Las Vegas is slowly returning to life after lockdown with the reopening of mosts of its iconic hotels and casinos.
US.- Four new venues are to reopen in Las Vegas in the coming weeks as MGM Resorts and Caesars Entertainment announce plans to reopen more of their properties.
MGM announced it would reopen Luxor at 10am on June 25, and Mandalay Bay and Aria at 10 am on July 1.
The gaming company already reopened the Excalibur Hotel & Casino this week, and New-York-New York, Bellagio, and MGM Grand on June 4.
The only two MGM properties that remain pending for reopening are Park MGM and The Mirage.
MGM’s acting CEO Bill Hornbuckle said: “We are eager to get more of our employees back to work and enhance the Las Vegas experience with additional resorts.”
The operator had furloughed almost 63,000 employees due to the pandemic. Now that most of its venues will be operational, MGM will be able to begin returning most of the workforce.
Meanwhile, Caesars reopens The LINQ Hotel & Experience today (Friday June 12) at 11am. It’s the fourth Strip property to be reopened by Caesars following Caesars Palace, the Flamingo and Harrah’s Las Vegas.
Caesars has yet to announce reopening dates for The Cromwell, Bally’s Las Vegas, Planet Hollywood, Paris and the Rio.
