Las Vegas: Venetian remains open despite Coronavirus
Sheldon Adelson-owned property will not close its doors despite other Vegas casinos shutting up shop.
US.- The Venetian Las Vegas will remain open despite other casinos in Sin City and across America closing their doors due to Coronavirus.
While both MGM Resorts International and Wynn Resorts have confirmed they will close their Vegas properties, the Sands-owned resort will not.
The company is taking preventative measures, canceling meetings and shows and frequently wiping down slot machines in order to keep employees and guests safe.
“Our team members are our most valuable asset and we have every intention of getting through this challenging situation together,” the company said in a statement.
Management is still assessing the situation on a daily basis, and plans could change.
Government officials in at least a half-dozen states, including New York, Massachusetts, Ohio and Illinois, have ordered casinos to close with the aim of preventing the spread of the virus.
