Kindred receives licence in Ontario to launch Unibet brand
Unibet’s sportsbook and igaming products will be available to customers in Ontario after the market launch on April 4.
Canada.- Kindred has received a licence in the Canadian province of Ontario to run Unibet brand. Its Kindred’s seventh licence in North America. Unibet’s sportsbook and igaming products will be available in Ontario via on.unibet.ca. The mobile apps will be available in Apple Store and Google Play Store after the market launch on April 4.

We are proud to have received permission to launch in Ontario on the first day the market opens and look forward to building long-term relationships with our customers and partners.
“The igaming market in Ontario is expected to be one of the largest in North America, which makes it a truly interesting proposition for Kindred.”
In January, iGaming Ontario (iGO), a subsidiary of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (ACGO), announced that Ontario would open its legal igaming market on April 4. Approved operators would need to sign off on an operating agreement with iGO before they would be able to launch.
The AGCO continues to approve igaming operators and suppliers. LeoVegas Group has been registered as an igaming operator and Play’n GO was awarded a supplier licence that will see the company’s portfolio made available for players when the regulated market opens.
Rush Street Interactive has been granted an igaming licence for its online casino and sportsbook brand BetRivers. In the last weeks, Gaming Realms, Bragg Gaming Group, 888 Holdings, Inspired Entertainment and Kambi have also received igaming licences in the province.
