Kansas sports betting revenue increases in May

US.- The Kansas Lottery has released sports betting results for May. Revenue totalled $18.3m, up 39.6 per cent from April and 86 per cent year-over-year. Online betting contributed $18.3m and retail $638,284.
The sports betting handle totalled $199,7m. Online betting contributed $195.6m and retail $4m.
DraftKings led the online market with a $83.7m handle and $7.6m in revenue. FanDuel generated $7.1m in revenue from a handle of $67.9m, Fanatics $1.3m from $17.7m and BetMGM $1.1m from $12.9m.
ESPN Bet led the retail market with a $2.6m handle and $389,573 in revenue. FanDuel generated $51,749 in revenue from $754,913 in bets, Caesars $160,348 from $504,017 and DraftKings $36,614 from $186,488.
In May, the state took $1.8m in taxes. For the fiscal year to date, revenue stands at $165.9m: $159.3m from online and $6.6m from retail.
Kansas’s casino revenue totalled $37.6m in May, up 4.35 per cent year-over-year and 2.7 per cent from April 2025. Three of the state’s four casinos reported revenue rises year-over-year, according to the Kansas Lottery.
Kansas Star Casino led the market with $15.1m, up 7.6 per cent from April 2024. Hollywood Casino reported $14.9m, up 3.4 per cent, Boot Hill Casino $3.8m, down 4.02 per cent and Kansas Crossing Casino $3.7m, up 4.6 per cent.
