Kansas casino revenue rises in August

The state’s four casinos generated over $37m in revenue.

US.- The Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission has released its report on casino gaming activity in the state in August. Revenue totalled $37.3m, up 3.9 per cent in year-on-year terms from August 2024’s $35.9m. Sequentially, casino revenue was up 3.04 per cent.

Hollywood Casino & Resort generated $15.1m, up 4.2 per cent year‑on‑year. Some $13.4m came from machines and $1.6m from tables. Kansas Star Casino & Resort reported $14.6m, an increase of $527,692 or 3.7 per cent in year-on-year terms. Slots accounted for $3.2m and table games $258,449. Together, these two properties accounted for nearly 80 per cent of total casino revenue.

Kansas Crossing Casino & Resort posted the strongest percentage gain, with revenue of $3.5m, up 8.3 per cent in year-on-year terms. Slots accounted for $3.2m and table games $258,449.

Boot Hill Casino & Resort was the only property to see a slight decline, with casino revenue down 0.3 per cent year-on-year to $4.1m. Electronic gaming machines contributed $3.7m, while table games added $456,506.
