Iowa sports betting handle increases year-over-year in May

US.- The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission has released its sports betting results for May. The handle totalled $202.6m, up 10 per cent year-over-year. Internet net receipts reached $18.9m, while total net receipts were $20.1m.The online sports betting handle of all 19 operators was $190.9m.
Players won $182.5m, including $172m from online wagers. Sports wagering contributed $1.4m in taxes.
The state’s casinos reported $149.5m in adjusted gross revenue (AGR) in May, up 10 per cent from April ($141.1m) Table revenue was $13.9m, while slots revenue totalled $135.6m. Casinos contributed $28.6m in state taxes and $0.7m in local taxes.
