Indiana sports betting reaches record handle in October
The Indiana Gaming Commission has reported a handle of $461.1m for October, up 29.7 per cent month-on-month.
US.- The Indiana Gaming Commission has set a new record sports betting handle of $461.1m in October, a 29.7 per increase compared to September. Sports betting revenue was $27.7m, an 18.3 per cent decrease from $21.1m in October 2020.
Ameristar East in Chicago, with its DraftKings sportsbook, contributed $160.8m to the total handle. The Blue Chip Casino’s FanDuel operated sportsbook reported a $114.7m handle and Belterra Casino, also with FanDuel, registered $49.9m.
Blue Chip Casino had the highest revenue at $9.5m. Ameristar Casino registered $8.7m, while Belterra Casino reported $3.6m.
Football continued to be the most popular sport for betting due to the NFL season that started in September. It recorded $175.8m. The handle for parlay bets was $127.6m, basketball bets attracted $53.5m, and baseball registered $34.8m.
