Indiana casino revenue rises in August
Six of the state’s 13 casinos reported revenue increases compared to last August.
US.- Indiana’s casinos generated $204.2m in adjusted gross revenue in August. That’s a rise of 2 per cent in year-on-year terms and 9 per cent from the previous month. Six of the state’s 13 casinos reported revenue increases compared to last August.
Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana reported $34.3m in revenue, down 6.1 per cent in year-on-year terms. It was followed by Horseshoe Indianapolis at $24.6m, up 11 per cent year-on-year, and Horseshoe Hammond with $24.5m, up 30 per cent.

Rising Star Casino had the lowest revenue at $3.4m, a decrease of 11 per cent. French Lick Resort posted $6.2m, and Belterra Casino $6.3m.
Slots accounted for $182m of all revenue, while table games contributed $38.1m. The state’s tax collection amounted to $41.6m. for the first eight months of the year, tax collection was $74.1m.
Sports wagering in Indiana brought in $45.5m in August. That’s an increase of 42.19 per cent from the previous year’s $32m. The handle was $361m. Sequentially, the figure was up 32.27 per cent.
