iGaming Ontario reports record wagers in September
The regulated online betting and gaming market generated CA$8.55bn in wagers.
Canada.- iGaming Ontario has reported that Ontario’s regulated online betting and gaming market generated CA$8.55bn (US$6.11bn) in wagers in September. That’s a rise of 30.7 per cent year-over-year and 5 per cent from August 2025.
Non-adjusted gross gaming revenue (NAGGR) totalled CA$329.4m, down 2 per cent. Average revenue per active player was CA$282, down 15 per cent.
By product, casino wagers totalled CA$7.34bn, up 2 per cent from August, accounting for 86 per cent of the market share. Betting wagers totalled CA$1.06bn, up 39 per cent from August and representing 12 per cent of the market. The peer-to-peer (P2P) poker handle was CA$144m, down 4 per cent.
iGaming Ontario’s board of directors appointed Joseph Hillier as president and chief executive officer in September. David Smith had served as interim in the role since Martha Otton’s retirement.
