iGaming Ontario reports increase in wagers in October

Wagers increased 8 per cent from September.

Canada.- iGaming Ontario has reported that wagers in the province totalled CA$9.25bn in October. That reflects an increase of 8 per cent from September. Non-adjusted gross gaming revenue (NAGGR) was CA$367.7m, up 12 per cent, while average revenue per active player account (ARPPA) was CA$286, up 2 per cent.

Of the total wagers, CA$7.88bn came from casino games, up 7 per cent month-over-month. This represented 85 per cent of the market. Casino games contributed CA$303.8m, up 9 per cent and representing 83 per cent of the market share.

Sports wagers totalled CA$1.23bn, up 16 per cent. This generated CA$58.3m of revenue, an increase of 25 per cent month-over-month. Player-to-player poker accounted for CA$131m, down 9 per cent from September and just 1 per cent of all wagers. Revenue was $5.6m, up 10 per cent.
