A player’s card stack can also be reduced by extending a spread that has previously been put down either by them or another player; this action is also known as ‘hitting’. For example, if one player puts down a spread of 8-9-10 (all diamonds), another player can hit that spread by putting down either the seven of diamonds or jack of diamonds.

Once a player has put all their cards into spreads, they can be declared the winner of that hand.
