Hard Rock Casino Tejon opens in California

The venue features 150,000 square feet of gaming space.

US.- Hard Rock Casino Tejon has opened. The $600m venue is located less than 15 miles south of Bakersfield on Tejon Indian Tribal land in Kern County, California.

The opening event of the first phase of the project included the traditional Guitar Smash ceremony, a tribal blessing, and a $100,000 charitable donation before doors opened to the public. Brett Young made a live performance.

Developed with the Tejon Indian Tribe, Hard Rock Casino Tejon has 150,000 square feet of gaming space, more than 2,000 slot machines and more than 50 table games including Blackjack, Ultimate Texas Hold’em, Three Card Poker and Baccarat. There are VIP high-limit rooms and a variety of restaurants. The company said the destination has created more than 1,000 permanent jobs and over 5,000 construction-related roles.

The second phase of the project will introduce a 400-room hotel and the 2,800-seat Hard Rock Live venue for concerts and sporting events.
