Hard Rock Casino employees to receive bonuses
Company chairman Jim Allen has announced that workers in Atlantic City and Florida will receive bonuses.
US.- Hard Rock International is to award bonuses to employees in at least two states to reward them for their service during the Covid-19 pandemic, company chairman Jim Allen has announced.
In Atlantic City, over $1m will be spread among 2,184 employees. Hourly workers will receive $250 each, supervisors and salaried workers $500 and managers $1,000.
Revenues were down year-on-year at all New Jersey casinos in December apart from Hard Rock Atlantic City, which saw revenues up by 1.7 per cent year-on-year to $26.3m.
Allen announced that employees in Florida would also receive bonuses, but the amounts have not been specified. He said bonuses would also be issued in other parts of the US.
Allen said: “It is important not to forget the job they are doing during these difficult times. These are clearly challenging times, and this is a way of showing our appreciation.”
Last month, Hard Rock was officially selected to develop and operate a future casino resort in Virginia. The $400m project will see the vacant Bristol Mall converted into a two-floor casino resort.
