US.- Station Casinos has added a high-limit lounge at Green Valley Ranch casino resort, in Henderson, Nevada. The new space offers ten table games, with single zero roulette, high-limit blackjack, Ultimate Texas Hold’Em, pai gow poker and baccarat. The high-limit slot lounge offers an additional 125 machines.

The new space is part of Green Valley Ranch resort’s renovation announced by the company in June. Station Casinos recently opened the new circular Polaris Bar featuring bar-top gaming with 20 machines, screens for sports and a craft cocktail menu inspired by global coordinates. Two new restaurants from chefs Eric and Bruce Bromberg of Bromberg Bros., Blue Ribbon Restaurants will open early next year. Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill will seat 136.

Last year, Station Casinos purchased 126 acres of land in the south of Las Vegas Strip. It paid around $172m to buy land at the southwest corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Cactus Avenue from Michael Gaughan, the founder of Coast Casinos.

Nevada gaming revenue reaches $1.27bn in September

The Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) has reported that the state’s casinos generated $1.27bn in gaming revenue in September. That’s an increase of 1.69 per cent year-on-year.

The Las Vegas Strip generated $741.2m, up 7 per cent year-on-year. Clark County as a whole, which includes the Strip, downtown Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, the Boulder Strip and surrounding areas, generated $1bn, a 1.8 per cent increase. Washoe County, which includes casinos in Reno, Sparks, and North Lake Tahoe, saw revenue decrease 6.6 per cent year-on-year.
