The organisation oversees the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians’ five properties.

US.- Grand Traverse Resort and Casinos, the organisation that oversees the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians’ five properties, is to rebrand to Grand Traverse Band Economic Development Corporation (GTBEDC). The change is a return to its original corporate name.

The five properties in Northern Michigan are Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel, Leelanau Sands Casino & Lodge, Crystal Shores Casino, Beach Fire Cannabis, and Grand Traverse Resort and Spa.

Johnny Barrientoz, CEO for Grand Traverse Band Economic Development Corporation, said: “This evolution goes beyond a new name – it represents our commitment to expanding our reach as an economic driver for the Grand Traverse Band. From entertainment and hospitality to new business ventures, GTBEDC is focused on long-term sustainability and growth for our communities and our people.”

Meanwhile, Michigan’s FireKeepers Casino Hotel has launched a new themed slot area. Located near the event centre doors, the addition features over 50 slot machines arranged in themed zones.
