Resorts World Las Vegas appoints new legal team members

The company has named Lou Dorn as chief legal officer and corporate secretary and Elizabeth Tranchina as general counsel.

US.- Resorts World Las Vegas has announced new members for its legal team. The company has named Lou Dorn as chief legal officer and corporate secretary and Elizabeth Tranchina as general counsel.

Dorn recently served as senior vice president and general counsel for North America at Bally’s Corporation. He has also held executive legal roles at Monarch Casino & Resort, SLS Las Vegas, Aliante Casino and Hotel, and Las Vegas Hilton. He also worked as chief of the corporate securities division at the Nevada Gaming Control Board and as deputy attorney general for the State of Nevada.

Resorts World Las Vegas chairman Jim Murren said: :Lou brings an exceptional depth of experience in gaming law and regulatory compliance that will be instrumental as we continue to grow and evolve. His leadership will help ensure our operations remain forward-thinking, responsible and built on a strong legal foundation.”

Tranchina has more than 20 years of experience in legal and regulatory compliance from the gaming and hospitality industries. She worked at the Gaming Division of the Louisiana Department of Justice and most recently served as general counsel for Investar Bank in Louisiana. She also served as general counsel at Rio Hotel & Casino and has held senior leadership roles at publicly traded gaming, sports betting and igaming companies.

Resorts World Las Vegas recently named Tom McMahon as senior vice president of slot operations and marketing. The resort also appointed Jennifer Roberts as chief compliance officer.
