GAN reports online growth in New Jersey
A strong performance in New Jersey in November has increased revenues in the online gambling vertical for GAN.
US.- GAN has updated the financial results published by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) of online gaming and online sports betting. During last month’s operations, online gambling win increased 86% year-on-year.
Online gaming win was US$49.1 million in November, a year-over-year increase of 82.4% when compared to the US$26.9 million in the prior year period. Total online sports betting handle was around US$486 million in November, up from the US$417 million registered the previous month.
Moreover, online sports betting gross revenues were US$27.8 million, a 92.4% increase from the US$14.4 million posted in November 2018 but down from October’s US$38.7 million and September’s US$29.4 million.
New Jersey to launch online lottery sales system
New Jersey has approved a measure that allows people to order lottery tickets through smartphones. Regulators paved the way for a third-party app in which users can buy tickets, create pools and collect winnings.
The app is called Jackpocket and launched last week, Politico reported. It is the first company registered by the New Jersey Lottery. In order to use the app, bettors must be at least 18 and be present in the state.
