Further allegations against Crown
New claims revealed information about Crown’s alleged moves to reduce winnings in the casinos.
Australia.- As the investigation over Crown casino activities continue, a fourth testimony has revealed that gaming operators could have reduced gaming services that led to further winnings for players, as reported by the local press. According to the witness, Crown operators have allegedly trained staff to remove options that “allowed punters to win too much.”
“There was an instance where this particular game was paying out too much on the gamble function so technicians were instructed to remove the gamble button completely,” commented the source, an apparent technician who currently works at Crown Casino in Melbourne city of Australia.
“The reason behind that was to limit the play options for the players, to encourage them to play maximum lines and of course win maximum amounts of money,” the employee added, as he explained he was forced to remove multiple “spin” options on the IGT Blue Chip as well on betting options on the Players Choice Super machine.
The witness, who offered his statement to ABC News, said: ”The next layer that’s required is a [federal] parliamentary inquiry because that will provide a framework for these and other whistleblowers perhaps to come forward and, with the protection of Parliament, to tell us what they know.”
