Former Revel casino to reopen in summer
The casino that was acquired by Bruce Deifik in January is affiliating with the Hyatt hotel chain.
US.- Six years after its first opening, Colorado developer Bruce Deifik has announced that the property he acquired in January is set to affiliate with the Hyatt hotel chain. The former Revel casino will reincarnate as the Ocean Resort Casino.
“Hyatt has an incredible 60-plus-year legacy in the industry, and its loyal global customer base will have access to an authentic way to experience all that makes Atlantic City attractive and popular,” Deifik said. Ocean Resort will still own and operate the 1,399-room hotel and the casino, but the affiliation with Hyatt will let them use their reservation systems and other infrastructure, a spokeswoman said.
The opening of the Ocean Resort Casino is expected to coincide with the reopening of another casino that shut down in Atlantic City, the rebranded Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City. The Boardwalk property will offer 138,000 square feet of gaming space featuring 2,200 slot machines and 100 table games. Ocean Resort Casino would maintain the 165,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, in addition to the 5,700-seat concert hall with room for possible future expansion.
