Former Harrah’s exec sues Caesars

A former general manager has filed a lawsuit against Caesars Entertainment over Covid-19 concerns.

US.- The former general manager of Harrah’s Resort Southern California has filed a lawsuit against Caesars Entertainment for allegedly ignoring his warnings over health risks related to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Darrell Pilant filed the lawsuit last week at San Diego Superior Court, just over three months after leaving his position at Harrah’s due to disagreements with other company officials over sanitary related concerns.

The Southern Californian resort reopened the day after Pilant’s departure on May 21.

Pilant is demanding damages and severance pay equal to one year’s salary, which he says was a clause in his contract.

The Culinary Union also pursued legal action against Caesars for failing to ensure hotel guests and casino players used facial coverings to help protect against the spread of Covid-19.
