Business Development executive at Sportradar Brazil reveals the company’s expectations ahead of SBC Summit Americas.

Exclusive interview.- Fernando Mora, Business Development executive at Sportradar Brazil, spoke to Focus Gaming News about the upcoming SBC Summit Americas, which will take place in Miami, Florida, May 13-15.

In an exclusive interview, Mora shared his expectations for the event and detailed the company’s strategies for the region. He also said AI will remain front and centre at SBC Summit in Miami.

The SBC Summit takes place amid rapid growth in sports betting in both North and South America. How have Sportradar’s partnerships been accompanying that dynamism?

The sports betting landscape in North and South America continues to evolve rapidly, with particular momentum in markets like Brazil, now under regulation. This transformation has significantly heightened global interest in the LatAm region, reinforcing its position as a key growth hub within the global sports betting ecosystem.

At Sportradar, we’ve built strong, enduring partnerships with leading sports organisations and stakeholders across the Americas. These relationships reflect not only our long-term commitment to the region, but also the confidence in our ability to deliver innovative, technology-driven solutions that meet the evolving demands of the market.

As a global technology company, our mission is to empower the sports ecosystem through cutting-edge products and services. Our growing portfolio of regional partners underscores the strength and relevance of our offerings. By delivering unique tools, data-driven insights, and next-generation solutions, we’ve helped our partners elevate their operations and unlock new opportunities in this dynamic environment.

We’re honoured that this ongoing work has been acknowledged with eight nominations at the SBC Awards Americas 2025—placing Sportradar among the top-nominated companies of the evening. It’s a meaningful recognition that reflects the trust placed in us by our partners throughout the Americas.

What do you look forward to discussing with operators and stakeholders at the summit?

We see the SBC Summit Americas as a key opportunity to deepen relationships with operators and stakeholders, while reinforcing Sportradar’s position as a trusted and forward-thinking partner in the sports betting and gaming industry. These events are essential touchpoints that allow us to engage directly with the market, gain insights into the challenges and opportunities our partners are facing, and share how our technology and solutions can support their growth.

This year, we are especially excited to highlight our expanding presence in Brazil and the broader LatAm region, particularly as the regulatory landscape continues to evolve. In addition to our strong foundation in sports betting, we’re also showcasing new verticals such as igaming solutions — designed to help operators diversify their offerings and capture new audiences in a highly competitive environment.

We look forward to meaningful conversations about innovation, localised strategies, and how we can co-create value in this new era of regulated gaming in Brazil. Our goal is not only to demonstrate the strength of our portfolio, but also to listen, collaborate, and deliver products that truly respond to the needs of the market.

What do you think would be the most relevant topics of discussion in this edition?

AI continues to be one of the most prominent and transformative topics in the industry, and based on the events held so far in 2025, it’s clear that AI will remain front and centre at SBC Summit in Miami. While access to large datasets has become more widespread, AI is what truly unlocks the value of that data, enabling us to deliver actionable insights and develop market-leading solutions across the entire sports betting value chain.

At Sportradar, we are leveraging AI to convert raw sports data into intelligent, immersive, and highly personalised experiences for operators and their customers. It’s not just about having data—it’s about making it meaningful. Our solutions use advanced AI to optimise everything from odds generation to fan engagement, creating smarter, faster, and more relevant experiences.

Beyond sports betting, we’re also applying AI in our casino solutions through VAIX, a technology that enhances player engagement, retention, and personalisation within casino lobbies—and sportsbook environments as well. This kind of AI-driven innovation helps operators better understand and serve their users, contributing to a more dynamic and tailored entertainment experience.

In addition to AI, the Brazilian market will undoubtedly be a focal point of conversation. As one of the most important and rapidly growing markets in LatAm, Brazil plays a critical role in shaping the future of the region’s sports betting and gaming landscape. Understanding the local market dynamics and consumer behaviour is essential, and as a global leader, we are committed to continuously refining our products to better engage fans and deliver real value to our partners.

We look forward to meaningful discussions on how technology, data, and a deep understanding of the consumer can come together to drive innovation and sustainable growth in regulated markets like Brazil.
