Fanduel Sportsbook opens at Live! Casino in Maryland
FanDuel Group and Cordish Companies have officially launched sports betting at the Maryland casino.
US.- FanDuel Group and Cordish Companies have officially opened the Fanduel Sportsbook at Live! Casino & Hotel, in Maryland.
Pro football hall-of-famer Ed Reed participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Maryland´s casino before placing a $20 moneyline wager on Dustin Poirier to win at UFC 269.
Located inside the resort´s sports lounge Sports & Social Maryland, FanDuel Sportsbook occupies a 14,000-square-foot area, with a 100-feet wide media screen, two main bars and a VIP space. It has 10 betting windows and 31 IGT PlaySports self-service terminals.
Governor Larry Hogan said: “Today marks the culmination of more than a year of effort to get sports betting up and running here in the State of Maryland. In addition to allowing Marylanders to bet on football, basketball, and more, sports betting will also help to keep more dollars in-state and will provide another critical revenue source for public education without raising taxes on families and small businesses.”

Last week, MGM Resorts International and BetMGM launched sports betting at MGM National Harbor in Maryland.
